- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 3 cups milk
- ¼ cup custard powder
- ¼ cup sugar
- 200 grams chocolate chips
- 100 grams thickened cream
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Gather all your ingredients and grab a mixing bowl. Set your oven to preheat at a low temperature (about 160°C or 320°F).
- Crush the biscuits: Take the Parle-G biscuits and crush them into fine crumbs.
- Mix the base: In a bowl, combine the crushed biscuits, melted butter, and cocoa powder. Stir until everything is well coated.
- Press the mixture: Take a square or rectangular dish and evenly press the biscuit mixture into the bottom.
- Prepare the custard: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, custard powder, sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Cook the custard: Transfer your custard mixture into a saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens (around 5-7 minutes).
- Add chocolate: Once the custard has thickened, remove it from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until they melt.
- Layer the pudding: Pour the rich chocolate custard over the pressed biscuit crust and spread it evenly.
- Chill and set: Cover the pudding with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge to chill for at least 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Serve and enjoy: Once set, cut into squares or scoop it out with a spoon. Top with whipped cream or cocoa powder.
Notes
For serving, garnish with fresh berries or grated chocolate. Try adding mint extract, peanut butter, or coconut cream for variations.
