  • 23 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 can (28 oz) Crushed Tomatoes
  • 4 cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • 810 Lasagna Noodles (broken into pieces)
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Fresh Basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Meat: In a large pot, start by browning the ground beef (or sausage) over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sauté Onions and Garlic: Once the meat is browned, add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add the Tomatoes and Broth: Stir in the crushed tomatoes and chicken or vegetable broth; mix to combine.
  4. Toss in the Noodles and Seasoning: Add the broken lasagna noodles and Italian seasoning; let simmer for 10-12 minutes until noodles are tender.
  5. Create the Creamy Finish: Remove from heat and stir in ricotta cheese until well incorporated.
  6. Serve it Up with Cheese: Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese; optionally broil for extra meltiness.
