Description

A cheesy, meaty, and saucy bake that’s perfect for a cozy dinner any night of the week.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz cheese-filled tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat with olive oil, onion, and garlic until browned.
  3. Mix in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, letting it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Prepare the tortellini according to the package instructions if they’re frozen. Drain and set aside.
  5. Combine everything in the skillet until well mixed.
  6. Transfer half of the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, add some cheese, then layer the remaining mixture and cheese on top.
  7. Bake covered with foil for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh basil or parsley and a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
