Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Combine the rolled oats, cinnamon, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish with grease or parchment paper.
  7. Pour the mixture into the dish and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool the bars for about 10 minutes and then slice them into preferred shapes.

Notes
