- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
- 1/2 cup pudding mix (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the large egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and then mix into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and any optional ingredients.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or spices. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
