Baked Garlic Bread Dip

Description

A velvety, cheesy garlic dip that is perfect for gatherings or indulgent nights in, combining rich flavors and creamy textures.


Ingredients

  • 2 whole shallots
  • 2 heads garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 (8 oz) block softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup fresh chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut off the tops of the garlic heads and trim the shallots.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil.
  4. Roast in the oven for about 30-35 minutes.
  5. Mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  6. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into the mixing bowl.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie dish and top with remaining mozzarella.
  8. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a fun twist, serve the dip in a hollowed-out loaf of bread.
