Description
Flaky salmon fillets glazed with a sweet-tangy apple cider reduction enhanced with maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic, and thyme — a perfect seasonal dinner centerpiece.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine apple cider, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 6–8 minutes until reduced by half and slightly thickened.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush generously with the apple cider glaze.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork, brushing with additional glaze halfway through baking.
- Serve hot with extra glaze drizzled on top.
Notes
- For a richer glaze, add 1 tsp butter at the end of the reduction process.
- Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, wild rice, or a crisp salad.
- You can also grill the salmon and brush with glaze during cooking for a smoky flavor.
