Ingredients
- Ground beef (1.5 lbs)
- Onion (1 medium, diced)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Worcestershire sauce (2 tbsp)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Beef broth (1 cup)
- Cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz can)
- Green beans (1 cup, trimmed)
- Mashed potatoes (3 cups)
- Shredded cheese (1 cup, your choice)
Instructions
- Prep the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the aromatics: Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until onions are transparent, about 4 minutes.
- Mix in sauces: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and combine well.
- Prepare the gravy: In a large bowl, combine beef broth and cream of mushroom soup. Whisk until smooth.
- Layer the ingredients: In a large baking dish, layer the beef mixture on the bottom and spread green beans on top. Pour the gravy mixture over.
- Top it off: Spread the mashed potatoes over the beef and gravy mixture. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake the dish: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Serve: Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
